Why do we still get sick when we consume transfer factors?

From PN Bulletin board.Posted: Mon Nov 14, 2005 2:21 pm

I thought I would repost this in a separate post because of the degree of interest in this subject. This is a response to another post by someone that developed a cold while consuming TF. He was surprised that he could catch a cold in spite of consuming transfer factors. There is more to this than what I wrote but this should give you an overview of what is taking place. Mike

Hi bryjames,

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I can explain what you are experiencing.

First keep in mind that when you come into contact with a germ there is no way to keep it from entering your body through your mouth, nose or some other avenue. No product or medicine can keep a germ from entering your body. Whatever you consume is on the inside preparing your body for the battle.

The germ will find a cell and hijack that cell and convert it into a "baby germ factor." This happens many times per week or month in all of our lives. Often you will not experience the symptoms of the invasion because the immune system defeats the germ before they’re enough of these germs to cause a reaction in your body.

If the body doesn't recognize the germ early after its entrance, you could develop symptoms of the infection. Some of these symptoms are from the activation of the immune system and some from the effect of the germs on your body tissue.

When you consume transfer factors, you improve the immune systems response time and the efficiency or effectiveness of the response. This is a fact every time. Your immune system will respond better than if you didn't have transfer factors in your system.

This does mean that you will not become sick. How sick depends on several factors. I will share a few of these factors.

1. If you are under stress, your immune system will be compromised even if you have transfer factor in you body. Stress hormones can depress the immune system. Transfer factors will strengthen your immune system but the question is will it be enough to stop the germ replication before you feel symptoms?

2. Have you been getting enough sleep and drinking enough water? You whole immune system requires sleep and water in order to rejuvenate itself. When you sleep, fewer resources are used for other body functions and more is available for immune system regeneration. Even without sleep, your immune system will do better than if you didn't have enough sleep.

3. You may have been infected by more than one type of germ. What makes us think that only one type of germ enters our body at a time? By consuming transfer factors your immune system will have done better than what it seems since you are fighting more than one attack.

4. What we call a cold can be several different types of viruses. There are more than a hundred different corona viruses that produce "cold" symptoms. We call certain symptoms a cold but even more serious viruses can cause these symptoms. Any one person has ony experienced a small fractions of the germs that are circulating in our environmnet. When you think you had worse symptoms than before, your immune system may have been fighting a more powerful virus than what you have before. Without transfer factors you may have suffered much more.

5. The immune system works off of a priority system. For example, what if you body was fighting mutated cells that were on their way to becoming cancer and at the same time you were invaded by a virus? The body would focus its greatest efforts on the cancer and tolerate a certain degree of the attack by the virus. Also germs that are less threatening are given less attention. Also the immune system is involved in detoxifying your cells and regulating a host of immune system functions while it is fighting a germ.

6. Don't judge what you are going through solely by what you have experienced before. There are thousands of different types of viruses and bacteria types. Everyone will eventually come in contact with stronger viruses that will be worse than anything you have previously experienced. The question is will the symptoms be less powerful than it would have been if you didn't have transfer factors in you? You are always better off. The research proves that the activity of your natural killer cells along with many other body chemicals will always improve when consuming transfer factors. This is a scientific fact. If you are experiencing something stronger than what you have been exposed to before, you may not notice that improvement in certain immune system functions. This is one reason it is important to have a great deal of scientific information backing a product so that we are not totally reliant on our perception of a specific experience.

7. If the virus that you have been exposed to is very different than the thousands of germs that the cow or chicken was exposed too, then you will develop more symptoms than if the cow or chicken had been exposed to the specific germ. You still are better off with transfer factors in your body because your immune system will still function better than if you didn't consume transfer factors.

8. Keep in mind that transfer factors are regulating and influencing many aspects of your health and immune system. A cold virus entering your body isn't the whole picture of what your transfer factors are engaged in. TF is influencing the antioxidant activity deep within your cells. Antioxidants are protecting your DNA, the blueprints of your next cell development, the mitochondria-the energy supply for each of your cells and detoxification which will effect many other areas of your health. Immune cells are monitoring trillions of cells to make sure there is not mutation that escapes detection and leads to cancer.

9. No one should be selling Transfer Factor as keeping them from becoming ill. This is impossible. We can be assured that we are better off consuming transfer factors than not.
